About Hypothesis AI
Hypothesis AI is a stock market news desk for investors who pay attention. It is published by Hypothesis AI Inc., 169 Madison Ave, STE 31223, New York, New York 10016.
What we cover
US-listed companies, from the primary record: SEC filings, earnings calls, company press releases, and the price action around them. When a stock moves, we go to the document that explains the move rather than to the loudest headline about it.
The desk publishes a few times a day across sections covering US markets, global markets, technology, health, science and the rest. Everything we have published is readable at app.hpts.ai/news, and every story keeps the address it published under.
How we choose what to run
A story starts with a document: a filing lands, a company reports, a transcript publishes. From there an editor decides. Nothing is written until a person has approved the topic, and nothing reaches the front page until a person has approved the finished story and chosen where it runs. Both approvals are recorded against the story in the editor’s name.
Who writes it
Stories are drafted with AI assistance from the sources an editor approved, and every claim a draft cites is checked back against the passage it came from before an editor reads it. Each story says so on its face, carries a byline, and lists the documents it drew on so you can read them for yourself.
The full picture is in two places. Our editorial standards set out how the desk works, and our corrections policy sets out what happens when we get something wrong. Where AI is used across the rest of the product, and how it can be wrong, is in our AI Disclosure.
