Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Hypothesis AI Inc. (the “Company”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.

For purposes of this Agreement, “Site” refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at https://hpts.ai. “Service” refers to the Company's products, applications, and services accessed via or in connection with the Site, including the ability to join the waitlist for, and to use, our market-intelligence platform for retail investors and associated accounts and features. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company. “You” refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.

By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

I. Information we collect

We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal Information includes your email address, the referral code (if any) that brought you to our Site, the date and time you accepted this Privacy Policy, and your approximate IP address (collected by our anti-bot service to prevent automated signups), which you submit to us through the waitlist signup form on the Site. If you go on to create an account and use the Service, Personal Information also includes the account and profile information, payment information, uploaded content, and AI interaction data described below.

1. Information collected via Technology

To join the waitlist you do not need to submit any Personal Information other than your email address. To use the Service thereafter, you do not need to submit further Personal Information. However, in an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser when you view or use the Service, such as the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you.

We track this information using cookies, or small text files which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user's browser from our servers and are stored on the user's computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user's browser enables us to collect Non-Personal Information about that user and keep a record of the user's preferences when utilizing our services, both on an individual and aggregate basis. For example, the Company may use cookies to collect the following information:

  • A session identifier required to keep your browser connected to the Site
  • A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) token used to verify form submissions
  • Bot-mitigation tokens set by our third-party anti-bot service (Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise). The waitlist signup form on this Site is protected by reCAPTCHA Enterprise and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • If you interact with the embedded newsletter signup, third-party cookies set by Substack

The Company may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire when you close your browser. We also store your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's local storage so the Site renders consistently between visits; this is not a cookie and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Information you provide us by joining the waitlist

In addition to the information provided automatically by your browser when you visit the Site, to join the waitlist you will need to submit your email address and confirm that you accept this Privacy Policy. You may optionally arrive at the Site through a referral link containing another waitlist member's referral code; if so, that code is recorded against your signup. By joining the waitlist, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your email address and the foregoing information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

By submitting the waitlist form and checking the consent box, you are providing express, opt-in consent to receive transactional and product emails from us at the address you submitted. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise acquire email lists from third parties — every recipient on our list signed up directly through the form on this Site.

3. Account and profile information

If you create an account to use the Service, we collect the information needed to set up and maintain that account, such as your username, email address, and authentication credentials. If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information that Google shares with us (such as your name and email address) in accordance with your Google account permissions; our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google's applicable policies. We also collect any profile details or preferences you choose to provide within the Service.

4. Payment information

If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your full payment card number; that information is provided directly to, and handled by, our payment processor under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive limited billing metadata (such as your subscription status, plan, and the outcome of a transaction) so that we can provide and manage your subscription.

5. Files and content you upload

The Service may allow you to upload files and other content. Files you upload are stored with our third-party cloud hosting and storage provider so that we can make them available to you within the Service. You are responsible for the content you upload, and you should not upload information you are not permitted to share.

6. Information from your use of AI features

When you use AI-powered features of the Service, the prompts, questions, and content you submit are processed to generate a response. To provide these features, that content may be sent to our third-party AI/LLM service provider, which processes it on our behalf to return a result; we remove or anonymize account identifiers before this content is processed, so it is not associated with your identity. We use market and news data from third-party data sources to power these features; those data sources are not sent your Personal Information.

7. Behavioral usage data

If you use the Service, we record how you use it — for example which stories you read, which companies you watch or mark as held, the bullish or bearish calls you make, and the price expectations you enter. We keep this behavioral record separate from your account: it is stored under a random identifier that is not your account id and carries no personal information such as your name or email address. We maintain a separate internal mapping between your account and that identifier so that we can delete the record when you delete your account; that mapping is deleted at the same time.

We use this record only in aggregate — to understand what investors with similar styles are reading, watching, and expecting, and to improve ranking and editorial decisions. Aggregate views are computed across cohorts, are never shown for an individual, and are suppressed below a minimum group size. Your individual behavioral record is never displayed to other users, sold, or shared with third parties.

Each behavioral entry may include a snapshot of your investor-style archetype (from the Investor DNA quiz) at the time of the action, so that cohort-level views reflect who you were when you acted, not who you are today.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site and the Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. The Site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13, or allow anyone under the age of 13 to sign up for the Service. In the event that we learn that we have gathered personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@hpts.ai.

II. How we use and share information

Personal Information: Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors and service providers who perform services for the Company and who are provided access to your information only as needed for the purpose of operating the Site and the Service. Those vendors use your Personal Information only at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Service providers we share information with

We rely on a limited set of third-party service providers to operate the Site and the Service. The categories of provider we use, and the information each may process, are:

  • Payment processor — processes subscription payments; receives the billing details you enter when you purchase a paid plan.
  • AI / LLM service provider — powers our AI features; receives the prompts and content you submit to those features in order to generate a response. We remove or anonymize account identifiers before this content is processed, so it is not associated with your identity.
  • Email delivery provider — sends our transactional and product emails; receives your email address to deliver our messages and report delivery outcomes back to us.
  • Cloud hosting and storage provider — hosts the Service and stores account data and any files you upload. Where feasible, the data associated with this storage is limited or anonymized.
  • Google — provides Google sign-in (OAuth) and reCAPTCHA Enterprise anti-bot protection; receives authentication and anti-bot signals. The waitlist signup form and certain features are protected by reCAPTCHA Enterprise, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

We also draw on third-party market and news data sources to power the Service. We do not send your Personal Information to those data sources.

In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to send you a confirmation of your waitlist signup, deliver your unique referral link, attribute referrals you generate, and inform you about the launch of the Service and related product updates.

Email communications and unsubscribe

We send two categories of email to addresses on our waitlist:

  • Transactional emails — sent in response to actions you take or milestones you reach. This includes your waitlist signup confirmation, delivery of your unique referral link, notifications when you reach a referral milestone (3, 10, or 25 referrals), and the announcement that the Service is available to you at launch.
  • Product emails — occasional updates about what we are building and the company behind it. We send these no more than weekly.

Email is delivered on our behalf by our transactional email provider, who processes your email address solely to deliver our messages and report delivery outcomes back to us.

Unsubscribe. Every product email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link in its footer. Clicking it removes you from our marketing lists immediately and permanently; we will not need to ask you to confirm. Strictly transactional confirmations (your initial waitlist signup confirmation and any future identity- or security-related notices) are excluded from this opt-out, consistent with industry norms.

Bounce and complaint handling. We monitor delivery outcomes. Email addresses that hard-bounce, or that mark our messages as spam, are automatically suppressed and will not receive any further email from us — transactional or otherwise.

We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce applicable terms, including investigation of potential violations; address fraud, security or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Non-Personal Information: In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.

In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy changes to the Site so that you may opt out of the new information practices. We suggest that you check the Site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used.

III. How we protect information

We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. We protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer (SSL/TLS) technology. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

IV. Your rights regarding the use of your Personal Information

You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. Every promotional email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer; clicking it removes you from our marketing lists immediately and permanently, with no further confirmation required. You may also email us at privacy@hpts.ai to opt out, or to request deletion of your waitlist record entirely; please note that removing your record forfeits any waitlist position you may have built up. Notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or contacting us, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account. If you have created an account for the Service, you may request deletion of that account at any time by emailing account@hpts.ai from the email address associated with your account; the account settings page within the Service directs deletion requests to the same address. When your account is deleted, we permanently delete your behavioral record — every event, position interval, stance, and expectation — together with the identifier that linked it to your account. Content you posted to community surfaces (such as comments) is anonymized rather than removed: the content may remain, but it is no longer attributed to you.

As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Service. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application, then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.

VI. Changes to our Privacy Policy

The Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the email address you provided when joining the waitlist or by placing a prominent notice on our Site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this privacy page for updates.
